Pastor and author A.W. Tozer once wrote, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”  This means, where our minds go when we do think about God is very, very important. Is what we think accurate? Skewed? Totally wrong?

One of ways the church historically has sought to help Christians understand who God is rightly is to study God’s “attributes.” An attribute is a quality, or characteristic that defines someone or something. Knowing and understanding God’s attributes enables us to rightly worship, obey, love and trust God.

We cannot arrive there by what we think up on our own. Not what the world tells us to think. Not even what friends have told us to think. We arrive there only by who God says He is revealed to us in scripture. So, where does your mind go when you think about God?

Join us this Summer as we get away for a few days at camp with a goal to think, believe, and feel the right things about God by studying several of His attributes together – seeing that he is Sovereign, Wise, and Good.

6th-12th graders, your friends, and parents.

DOXA is a pastor led, parent-involved youth ministry. Our vision is to see disciples made for Jesus, through the glorious gospel. Students from 6th-12th grade are all encouraged to come, along with friends. (Parents are welcome to come to camp, however it is not necessary).

The Refuge
is a 300 acre property in Stockholm, WI with barns, cabins, hiking trails, a pool and rustic farmhouse. There are areas for camping, two separate bunk houses, extensive bathroom and shower facilities, a gymnasium, pool, and game room. Our hope is this location will be context for fun, friendship, and for us to encounter Christ together.

Each family will be responsible for transportation to and from the retreat/camp. Students are encourage to carpool together.
