DOXA High School Winter Retreat-Jan 31-Feb 2, 2020

God has revealed himself as triune, which is means God is three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and yet is one God. The triune being of God isn’t nonsense or irrelevant. It isn’t just lofty concepts for some big smart theologians (or info for when you get old). The Trinity isn’t one of those things too far mysterious and beyond our grasp. Yet, we can live like these things are true. However, to know God is to know him as triune, and to know the triune God is to know a deeply beautiful, loving, and personal God. Author Michael Reeves writes, “What we assume would be dull or peculiar irrelevance turns out to be the source of all that is good in Christianity. Neither a problem nor a technicality, the triune being of God is vital oxygen of Christian life and joy.” The DOXA Winter Retreat exists for us to know and experience God, therefore we want to know the triune being of God – which is “vital oxygen” for your life and joy.

So let’s dive in together into what will lead to greater joy and deeper relationship with God. Join the 2020 High School Winter Retreat for a time to get away for community, fun, and most of all, aim to know this personal and glorious Triune God.

9th-12th graders
DOXA youth ministry is pastor led, parent involved youth ministries. Our vision is to see disciples made for Jesus, through the glorious gospel. For this Winter Retreat, students from 9th-12th (high school) grade are all encouraged to come, along with friends. (Parents are welcome to come to camp, however it is not necessary).

The Refuge is a 300 acre property in Stockholm, WI with barns, cabins, hiking trails, a sledding hill. There are two separate bunk houses, extensive bathroom and shower facilities, a gymnasium, and game room. Our hope is this location will be context for fun, friendship, and for us to encounter Christ together. (Address/directions)
