gen·er·ous  |   /ˈjen(ə)rəs   |   adjective
(of a person) showing a readiness to give more of something, as money or time, than is strictly necessary or expected. showing kindness toward others.
synonyms: lavish, bountiful, prodigal

We have all experienced the effects of someone being “stingy”, when someone is ungenerous. Nobody likes that. It may have been the sibling who wouldn’t stoop to share a few Skittles from his or her mega-super-sized bag. And if we are honest, we have all seen this in ourselves, those moments we have clamored to get or keep as much as we can – stuff, food, or praise from others.

When we consider the God of the Bible, we encounter the exact opposite of “stingy.” We witness radical generosity. He is the One who created all things good for His creation to enjoy, lavishing His world with kindness and blessings. And then there is the mind-boggling reality, that His creation has turned against His generosity and sought their own ways and stingy little kingdoms. Yet, God is gracious. He breaks through to them in His gospel, displaying his generous grace, that moves towards those who don’t deserve it, and opens their hearts to His love.

We want to invite you to DOXA Summer Camp 2018, where we will spend the week seeking to be amazed at and learn more about this Generous God. Join us!

6th-12th graders, your friends, and parents.

DOXA youth ministry is pastor led, parent involved youth ministries. Our vision is to see disciples made for Jesus, through the glorious gospel. Students from 6th-12th grade are all encouraged to come, along with friends. (Parents are welcome to come to camp, however it is not necessary).

The Refuge

There are areas for camping, two separate bunk houses, extensive bathroom and shower facilities, a gymnasium, pool, and game room.
