Sunday Celebration Service

The Bible

We hold to the Bible as God’s Word—complete, inerrant, holy. And the “big picture” of the Bible is this: God is faithful to redeem sinful man—God saves sinners through Jesus Christ. Because of this, we want everything we do on a Sunday morning (singing, praying, preaching, fellowship) to center on the Bible. So our Sunday celebration is a joyful response to who Jesus is and what He has accomplished for us on the cross.

Preaching

Jesus is the focus and His Word is our message. Proclaiming the gospel—the “good news” of salvation in Jesus—is our focus in preaching. It’s the gospel that truly changes hearts. Because of this, our pastors preach through Books of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, with a desire to let the Bible speak for itself, in the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 3:16, John 1:1, Hebrews 4:12).

Music & Song

Part of our Sunday service includes music and singing. Some songs are older hymns while others are more modern. But our focus isn’t on the style of worship music, but on the One we worship—that’s Jesus. When we sing, some people lift their hands or clap. Others may be solemn and still. Whatever the posture, we want our worship to be a sincere, passionate response to God, celebrating His goodness and kindness shown to us in Jesus. With this motive, we encourage a freedom of expression inside the bounds of biblical order (Psalms 150:4, Psalms 47:1, Ephesians 5:18-19).

Community

God made us to need each other. Jesus not only saves us from something (our sin) but He also saves us into something (the church). The church is a family, and we live life together—in community. This includes our Sunday gathering—coming together as one body, as one family, to celebrate Jesus. But community is not limited to Sundays. We desire to live out life together through the week. We seek to edify, uplift, and disciple each other for God’s glory; we want the name of Christ to be lifted high (Hebrews 10:23-24, John 13:35, 1 John 4).

Children

If you have children, we have ministries for kids from newborn to sixth grade. Simply arrive 5-10 minutes early for our Sunday service (begins at 10am) and we can get your children registered and checked in, and answer any questions you may have. Ages 5–12 years old typically spend the music and singing portion in the main service with their parents. Then we dismiss them to their appropriate classrooms.
