Fri-Sat, August 25-26
As men, we can often be tempted toward self-reliance and independence. Depending on our own strength. Doing things myself without asking for help. Leaning on my abilities and my own understanding.
And then we hit a wall. We fail.
Through challenge, trial or adversity, we come face-to-face with our own limitations and weaknesses. But rather than seeing these times as God’s judgment, we should see them as His grace. For it is in these times God reminds us that He alone is our source and our strength.
As we come together for our 2017 Men’s Prayer Retreat, I believe God wants to refocus our attention on Him, to remind us how dependent we are on Christ for everything. And remembering how much we depend on Him also reminds us how faithful and powerful and good He is.
Join me and other men of Cross of Grace as we get away and seek the Lord together.
The Men’s Prayer Retreat, is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, August 25-26 at the Mt. Olivet Retreat Center in Farmington, MN. Space is limited and spots typically go fast. So sign up today.
